Big Penny (not to be confused with our Miniature Horse named Penny) is a 20 year old, 16 hh OTTB mare.  She is quite calm and docile, a good turnout companion, and easy to handle for vet and farrier.  Penny has a bone chip in her knee, which does reduce the range of motion.  She gets a bit of NSAID before getting her feet trimmed to help her out, but otherwise is sound trotting and galloping in the pasture.  She has no other special needs and is easy to have around the barn.  She is suitable as a companion only.
