Liberty is a miniature mare who stands about 35: tall. She is estimated to have been born in 2007. Liberty was adopted many years ago to a home where she was a companion and pet. She was recently returned to BAHR after her pasture mate passed away and she was left solo.
Liberty has never been trained to ride or drive. She has an independent personality, and while she is very friendly and gentle, she does need reminding of her manners at times. She was born completely deaf, so training methods need to be adapted to work with her on these things. She has an old injury to one eye which has left a scar, but the eye seems to have some vision left.
Liberty would be best placed in a home with some horse knowledge as a companion and pet. She gets along with other horses, dogs, animals and children, although because of her deafness, perhaps older children would be better than toddlers. She has no special health needs and is an easy keeper. As recommended with all minis, limited grass in turnout is advised to control weight and prevent founder.
ADOPTION FEE: $250.
