Bear is a 14 year old Shetland pony gelding who stands about 11 hh.  He is not your typical troublemaker pony!  He is calm, loving and gentle, easy for any small child to lead, groom and love!  Bear came from a neglectful situation where his needs were not met.  He has metabolic disorders, namely Cushings disease and Insulin resistance. He is on a daily medication, his diet must be adapted for low sugar/starch and be restricted from eating grass. He has foundered in the past and x rays show rotation of the coffin bone.  He also has evidence of ringbone (arthritis) in both front feet.  For these reasons, Bear is no longer sound to ride or drive.  He gets medication as needed for pain management and has special boots he wears for comfort.  Bear is best buddies with Stevie and they can be adopted together.
