DONATE SUPPLIES

Supplies

We are always in need of supplies to keep up with incoming animals to the farm.  We graciously accept new or used items that are fairly clean and in safe repair. If you have a large amount, we can arrange for a volunteer to come pick it up at your convenience.  We are a 501(c)3 and will provide a tax donation receipt. Thank you for your consideration!

 

Begin Again Horse Rescue will always accept your donations of new or gently used horse equipment, clothing, books, decor, toys and tack for Begin Again Tack Shop! We appreciate these items to be in fairly clean and safe repair.  The Tack Shop has been an ongoing fundraiser that has been a great help in supporting the horses of BAHR.  100% of the proceeds go directly to the horses and all staff are volunteers.


If you are buying new, Countrymax, Tractor Supply, Runnings, or your local feed/tack store are places to shop for horses supplies.  When shopping  Amazon online, look up our wish list, you can order and have items sent directly to the rescue!

Wish List

  • Equine medications such as bute, banamine, prascend, equioxx, SMZ you may no longer need, but we often have horses prescribed these meds

  • Turnout blankets and sheets in all sizes

  • Fly sheets in all sizes

  • Buckets: 70 quart muck, heated water buckets, 5 gal water buckets, mini buckets

  • Manure forks: Plastic and metal

  • Cleaning Supplies: bleach, Simple Green, Leather New, rags, sponges

  • First Aid: Vet Wrap, aloe spray, Blue Coat, bandage scissors, first aid kits, aluspray, Vetericyn, Banixx spray, hoof wrapping supplies, duct tape, Swat ointment

  • Fly protection & fly masks

  • Garden hoses & nozzles (all weather)

  • Grooming: Brushes, combs, hoof picks, horse shampoo & conditioners, totes

  • Halters: All sizes and types, halter hangers

  • Hay: We feed primarily 1st cutting grass hay, but also often feed a hay substitute to those horses who are older or have dental needs.  In those cases, we feed chopped alfalfa forage. Donations of clean hay is always appreciated.

  • Horse Feed: Poulin ETec One, Poulin Etic FibreMax and Forage Extender

  • Salt blocks of all sizes

  • Supplements: Biotin, joint supplements, Bute-less pellets

  • Paste dewormers

  • Pasture/arena drag (small)

  • Rubber matting

  • Snow blower

  • Water tank heaters

  • Wheelbarrows in working condition

  • Fencing: 8’ pressure treated posts, pressure treated 8′ X 1″ X 6″fence boards, No Climb horse fencing
